Questions for Plumbers and Their Answers
Why is my kitchen sink taking so long to drain?
The pipes that your kitchen sink feeds into may have accumulated some buildup. Simply pour a cup of baking soda followed by half of cup of white vinegar down your drain. Wait 20 minutes and then flush it with a kettle of boiling water. If this doesn’t improve the situation, give us a call. We’ll be able to diagnose what’s going on and identify the clog.
Why does it smell so bad when my dishwasher is running?
If you can smell sewage when you are running your dishwasher than you’re dealing with a serious clog somewhere in your home. You need to have this inspected and repaired immediately.
Can I pour leftover cooking oil down my kitchen sink?
You can absolutely not do this. This will cause a serious clog in your plumbing. Instead, pour leftover cooking grease in an empty coffee tin and throw it in the garbage as long as that is consistent with local regulations. Check with the city first.
How do I deodorize my kitchen sink?
